My summer at Maslon was characterized by a combination of interesting work and the opportunity to connect with and learn from attorneys here.

The program's flexibility allowed me to explore a wide variety of practice areas that interest me. I learned about these areas through substantive assignments on real cases. On each, I received both formal and informal feedback on my work product. The assigning attorneys welcomed my questions and were patient with my learning. Through this process, my legal research and writing skills grew greatly.

Additionally, observation opportunities including depositions, witness preparation, and hearings helped me develop by watching attorneys navigate real-life situations.

Beyond legal work, I also had the opportunity to connect with people here through planned events and spontaneous conversations. Every person I interacted with was happy to get to know me and let me know them. Overall, it's clear to me that Maslon is a great place to practice law with the support of community, even during a pandemic.

I would highly recommend Maslon's Summer Associate Program to any law student hoping to grow in an environment that encourages learning and fosters community.
