UPLIFT Graduates: Staying Connected

If you have previously completed UPLIFT, please consider participating in our college counseling program and our book clubs, detailed below.

UPLIFT Book Clubs

After graduating from UPLIFT, students are invited to participate in summer book clubs. In our book clubs, UPLIFT graduates read books focusing on legal topics, continuing to learn about the law while deepening their understanding of its complexity. UPLIFT book clubs recently have read Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, Class Action by Clara Bingham and Laura Leedy Gansler, and Guilty? Crime, Punishment, and the Changing Face of Justice, by Teri Kanefield.

"I really like book club because I had not read nonfiction books like this before book club. I am getting more into reading them since joining book club. The leaders are super nice and I have learned a lot." – Ruweyda, UPLIFT 2020 graduate
