Legal Administrative Assistant

Overview: Maslon seeks a transactional Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide a broad range of legal administrative support for attorneys and paralegals. We pride ourselves in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for attorneys and paralegals in transactional practices by routing mail, screening calls, calendaring, and performing various administrative duties.
  • Create, maintain, and close files. Assist in processing conflicts searches and intake of new matters.
  • Prepare, format, and edit legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and correspondence of a confidential nature.
  • Process expense reimbursements and track attorney CLEs.
  • Acts as a liaison between attorneys and clients, as well as internal departments and external affiliates.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience in an administrative support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong proofreading and grammar skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $26-$32/hour depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
