Overview

Walter Cosby is an associate in Maslon's Corporate & Securities Group advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, private financings, initial public offerings, and general commercial law. With a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation, he brings valued expertise in tax law and the role it plays in all manner of corporate transactions.

Before joining Maslon, Walt counseled clients on the design and implementation of tax-qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) plans and ESOPs. He also has deep experience in SEC filings, ERISA law, and employee benefits law.

Walt earned his J.D. from Emory University and a B.A. in political science from Georgetown College. Prior to law school, Walt served as a White House intern.
