Maslon Welcomes Attorneys Yujin Jang and TJ Bowman to the Firm

October 16, 2024

Maslon is pleased to announce the addition of attorneys Yujin Jang and TJ Bowman to the firm.

Yujin is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Group who advises clients on contract drafting and negotiation, compliance issues, and general corporate law. She held several volunteer positions while studying for her law degree at Penn State Law, including director of professional development for the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, senior editor of the Penn State Law Review, and secretary for the Disability Law Caucus. Also during law school, Yujin interned with a global pharmaceutical distributor, where she gained experience reviewing distribution contracts and non-disclosure agreements, drafting legal compliance guidelines, and learning about trademark portfolio management.

After earning her bachelor's degree in political science and economics from Macalester College, Yujin worked as an international trade manager in South Korea.

TJ, an associate in the Litigation Group, represents commercial clients in a broad range of business litigation matters. He has a particular interest in appellate law and has written several articles exploring various aspects of federal law, including the federal standing doctrine. TJ also argued an appeal in the Ninth Circuit, as part of the University of St. Thomas School of Law’s Appellate Clinic, on behalf of a prisoner claiming excessive use of force against correctional officers. For his work in these areas, TJ received the 2024 Honorable Earl R. Larson Award from the Federal Bar Association's Minnesota Chapter for excellence in the study and practice of federal law.

While attending law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, TJ served as a judicial extern for U.S. District Court Chief Judge John R. Tunheim. He earned his undergraduate degree from Concordia College.
