Anna Barton Elected to Serve as Secretary of the Minnesota State Bar Association's New Lawyers Section

Anna Barton, an attorney in Maslon’s Litigation and Labor & Employment groups, has been elected to serve as secretary of the Minnesota State Bar Association's (MSBA) New Lawyers Section beginning July 1, 2021. The New Lawyers Section of the MSBA focuses on professional development, community outreach, and networking.

Anna advises clients on general commercial litigation matters, concentrating her practice on a wide variety of business disputes in employment and insurance coverage. She is an active pro bono volunteer, representing clients through the Volunteer Lawyers Network and serving as a volunteer attorney for Maslon UPLIFT: Legal Institute for Teens. For her dedicated efforts, Anna was recognized for the second consecutive year as a North Star Lawyer by the Minnesota State Bar Association, a distinction reserved for MSBA members who provide 50 hours or more of pro bono legal services per year to those who otherwise could not afford representation.

Anna graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. During her last semester of law school, Anna served as judicial extern to the Honorable John R. Tunheim of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
