Terry is a partner with extensive experience assisting clients with their intellectual property, e-commerce, and complex commercial litigation needs. He serves as chair of Maslon’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, where he helps ensure Maslon’s talent pool includes attorneys who represent diversity of thought, experience, and background. Terry also volunteers each year with UPLIFT Legal Institute for Teens, a mock trial program founded by Maslon in 2017 for underrepresented middle school students.
In his home city of Roseville, Terry serves on the police department's Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC), formed in the wake of police killings of Black men in the Twin Cities. In January 2023, the committee helped create a "Letters Instead" policy that directs police to send letters to drivers instead of initiating traffic stops for minor vehicle equipment violations. Terry has also served on the board of Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (one of the two primary legal aid organizations for low-income Minnesotans) since 2005 and as its vice president since 2015.
Terry is also a novelist and playwright. His novel Dangerfield’s Promise was published in 2022. His plays have been staged in Twin Cities theaters.
