Stephanie Laws Selected as a 2022 'Up & Coming' Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer

Maslon is pleased to announce that Stephanie Laws, a partner in Maslon's Litigation Group and co-chair of the Tort & Product Liability practice area, has been named a 2022 "Up & Coming Attorney" by Minnesota Lawyer. The recognition highlights lawyers who have distinguished themselves by their professional accomplishments, leadership in the community, and commitment to the profession in their first decade of practice.

Stephanie represents local to global market-leading businesses in product liability and commercial litigation in federal and state courts nationwide, while also conducting internal investigations on behalf of clients. Her product liability work spans multiple industries, with particular focus on defense of FDA-regulated products. Stephanie is a trusted advisor in all phases of civil litigation—from fact investigation through trial—with significant experience managing large-scale document productions, handling e-discovery issues, and working with experts.

Stephanie is also deeply engaged with pro bono work. She served as a key part of the Maslon team formed to assist Partner Steve Schleicher in his leading role as special prosecutor for the state of Minnesota in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. In addition, she maintains an active practice as a volunteer attorney representing asylum seekers, including LGBTQ individuals seeking asylum from West Africa and new arrivals from Afghanistan seeking asylum due to gender-based persecution.
