Mike McCarthy Recognized as a Top Business Leader in the Minnesota 500

October 2, 2019

Maslon is pleased to announce that attorney Mike McCarthy has been recognized as one of Minnesota's top business leaders in the 2019 Minnesota 500. The publication celebrates the state's leading business executives across 60 industries including business, government, non-profits, professional services, and others.

The editors conducted lengthy research and due diligence to cull a list of more than 7,000 executives across the state down to the Top 500. The final selections were recognized for the indelible marks they continue to make on our business communities.

Mike is chair of Maslon’s Governance Committee, which manages the firm, and a partner representing clients in complex litigation and appeals. He has defended multi-party and putative class actions involving securities and consumer fraud, environmental claims, and antitrust and other alleged statutory violations. In addition, Mike has experience with and expertise in corporate trust matters, technology-related litigation, and medical-device liability.

Mike is actively involved in service to the profession and the community. Of particular note, he was recognized as a 2018 Attorney of the Year for his pro bono contributions to a high-profile death penalty case in Texas. Mike has also served as chair of the MSBA Rules of Professional Conduct and Publications committees and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Hennepin County Law Library.
