December 19, 2014
Maslon is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected as a 2015 Community Impact Awards Finalist by Minnesota Business magazine. The 2015 Community Impact Awards honor Minnesota companies and businesspeople that make giving back to the community a priority. Maslon is one of three finalists in the Professional Services award category for providing professional services to nonprofits or other worthy causes on a pro bono basis.
Maslon's long-standing commitment to pro bono work includes participation in the Pro Bono Challenge, a pact formed by the nation's largest law firms to significantly increase the amount of pro bono work being performed by their organizations. In addition, Maslon is a participant in the Minnesota State Bar Association North Star Lawyers program, which recognizes members who provide 50 hours or more of pro bono legal services per year to those who otherwise could not afford representation. While Maslon attorneys provide pro bono service to a broad range of organizations, particular leadership and service have been provided to the following organizations this past year: ACLU-MN, Minnesota Wills for Heroes, LegalCORPS, and the ABA Death Penalty Project.
