Maslon Elects New Governance Committee; Joseph Alexander to Serve as Chair

Maslon is pleased to announce the election of Joe Alexander as chair of the firm's Governance Committee. Joe has served on Maslon's Governance Committee since 2008. He is joined by Cooper Ashley, Governance Committee member since 2003.

Joe Alexander is a partner in the Financial Services and Business & Securities Groups and has been practicing for over 30 years. Joe is also a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Committee on Commercial Finance in the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Joe has concentrated his activities primarily in two areas, one in the corporate transactions area and the other in the financial services area.

Cooper Ashley is a partner in Maslon's Litigation Group, and is focused primarily on product liability matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants and complex class action and tort cases, including environmental toxic tort and fire/explosion cases. Cooper has first-chaired numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, argued appeals before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and conducted all manner of related fact and expert discovery and motion practice.
