Maslon Board Chair Keiko Sugisaka Honored Among 2023 Top Women in Law by Minnesota Lawyer

Maslon is pleased to announce that Board Chair Keiko Sugisaka has been named among the Top Women in Law by Minnesota Lawyer for 2023.
Keiko is recognized for impactful work in the legal profession throughout her 25 years of practice, during which she has served on the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection under two governors, served as vice chair of the Fourth Judicial District Ethics Committee, served in various leadership positions in the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and worked as Maslon's member representative in both Twin Cities Diversity in Practice and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. A staunch advocate for pipeline programs that aim to increase the diversity of our profession, she also serves on the board of UPLIFT: Legal Institute for Teens, a mock-trial program founded at Maslon for underrepresented middle schoolers.
At Maslon, Keiko spearheaded the firm’s Midsize Mansfield Certification for 2021-23, where Maslon received Certified Plus status for achieving at least 30% underrepresented lawyer representation in leadership roles.
Keiko concentrates her practice on product liability, complex business, and intellectual property cases, including consolidated and multidistrict litigation. She has broad experience successfully representing clients in federal and state courts nationwide involving product liability defense; patent, trademark, and copyright infringement; director/officer liability; trade secret misappropriation; unfair competition; and commercial disputes. Keiko also has extensive experience in all stages of complex and large-scale discovery and e-discovery issues.
