Maslon Achieves Mansfield Certified Plus Status for Leadership Diversity Efforts in 2023-24

October 2, 2024

Maslon is proud to announce that it has achieved Midsize Mansfield Certification Plus status for 2023-2024 after completing a rigorous 12-month collaboration with Diversity Lab to track, measure, and achieve diversity in leadership.

The time period measured was from July 2023 to July 2024. Maslon also achieved Mansfield Certification Plus status in the 2021-2023 certification period.

Mansfield is a structured certification process that Maslon has committed to since 2021 to ensure all talent at the firm has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. The focus is on opening the door wider and ensuring that opportunities for advancement are transparent and inclusive for everyone. By asking that at least 30% of talent pools considered for leadership roles consist of underrepresented groups and that the advancement processes are transparent, Mansfield creates a level playing field for all.

To achieve the Plus designation, Maslon voluntarily provided data to Diversity Lab to show its progress and outcomes of its efforts to broaden talent pools and increase the visibility of its advancement processes. This transparency allows Maslon and Diversity Lab to celebrate progress and to identify areas with continued opportunities for improvement. Data shows that firms that remain committed and accountable to the Mansfield Certification process year over year are making substantial progress in creating inclusive talent practices and diversifying their leadership ranks. Maslon has experienced positive progress since joining Mansfield, and it remains committed to taking measurable actions to ensure that its processes are — and remain — inclusive.

“Maslon is pleased to once again have reached this significant milestone," said Maslon Board Chair Keiko Sugisaka. "We will continue to build teams that reflect the diversity of our clients and communities while providing exceptional counsel and service.”
