Keiko Sugisaka Selected as a 2017 Women in Business Award Winner by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Maslon is pleased to announce that Keiko Sugisaka, partner in the firm's Litigation Group, has been selected as a 2017 Women in Business Award Winner by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. This year's honorees were recognized for their professional achievements, leadership, and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community. The winners include industry-leading executives and entrepreneurs.
Keiko is the chair of Maslon's Tort & Product Liability Group and focuses her practice primarily on product liability, complex business, and intellectual property cases, including consolidated and multi-district litigation. She has broad experience successfully representing clients in federal and state courts nationwide involving product liability defense; patent, trademark, and copyright infringement; director/officer liability; trade secret misappropriation; unfair competition; and commercial disputes. Keiko also has extensive experience in all stages of complex and large-scale discovery and e-discovery issues.
Along with managing her busy practice, Keiko is a leader across many vital areas of the firm. She co-chairs Maslon's Diversity and Inclusion Committee, specifically tasked with promoting diversity and inclusion at Maslon, in the profession, and in the community overall through active participation in and support of a broad range of initiatives. Keiko helped establish Maslon's Diverse Attorneys Resource Group, a group of attorneys of color and LGBT attorneys at Maslon who meet on a quarterly basis to provide resources and support to each other personally and professionally, and she is Maslon's member representative in Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, a nonprofit association comprised of Twin Cities law firms whose vision is to create a vibrant and inclusive legal community. She also serves as a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee and chair of its Technology Committee. Additionally, Keiko is an active member of Women Presidents Organization, which unites business leaders across the Twin Cities to accelerate business growth, enhance competitiveness, promote economic security through collaborative peer-learning groups, and support the next generation of women business leaders.
