Amy Swedberg Recognized Among Notable Women in Banking & Finance by Twin Cities Business for 2024

Those named as Notable Women in Banking & Finance are exemplary professionals in the field who also serve as mentors, do pro bono work that addresses social and economic causes, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Amy is a seasoned financial services attorney whose practice focuses primarily on assisting lenders and other commercial creditors, asset purchasers, adversary proceeding defendants, and indenture trustees with creditor rights and bankruptcy issues—bringing vital insight and counsel to companies and individuals in times of tremendous uncertainty and stress. She is also an experienced litigator in the bankruptcy courts in Minnesota and throughout the U.S.
Amy devotes considerable time and effort to serving her community through leadership roles, peer support and education, and volunteer work. She regularly volunteers for the Legal Access Point (LAP) clinic at the Hennepin County Government Center and assists the Volunteer Lawyers Network with bankruptcy-related matters, including the letters to creditors program and assisting pro bono clients on bankruptcy proceedings.
In addition, Amy has served on the board of the Minnesota chapter of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation since 2015; from 2021 to 2022 she served as chair and currently holds the position of membership director. The organization is dedicated to supporting and promoting women in the insolvency and restructuring professions.
