Melissa Muro LaMere, Jevon Bindman, and Carly Johnson Present at Seminar on the New Minnesota Litigation Forms Deskbook

Maslon Partner Melissa Muro LaMere and attorneys Jevon Bindman and Carly Johnson will present sessions July 12 as part of the Minnesota Litigation Forms Deskbook Seminar from Minnesota CLE. In Melissa's session on "Commencing the Action," she discusses the forms commonly used when filing a lawsuit. Melissa co-authored the corresponding chapter in the Deskbook. Jevon, co-author of the "Post-Trial" chapter, will team up with Carly to provide helpful drafting tips for motions filed after the trial concludes.
The new first edition of the Minnesota Litigation Forms Deskbook with eFormbook includes nine chapters covering all aspects of litigation, from pre-lawsuit investigation to appeal. The accompanying eFormbook comes with over 130 forms, ready to download and use.

Melissa is an employment and business litigation partner at Maslon. She enjoys working with clients to protect and grow their business in a competitive marketplace, providing employment counseling and litigation support across a wide variety of disputes. She focuses her practice on the full spectrum of employment counseling and litigation matters in addition to business disputes involving non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, trade secrets, business contracts and torts, and unfair competition and trade practices.
Jevon focuses his work on construction, insurance coverage, and appellate litigation. He has taken numerous complex matters to jury verdict, and helps both Fortune 500 companies and "mom and pop" operations to navigate all phases of the litigation process. Jevon has significant experience in contract disputes, franchise and competitive practices claims, policyholder insurance coverage claims, construction defect and mechanic’s lien claims, and shareholder disputes. He also regularly handles appeals in the Eighth Circuit and Minnesota appellate courts.
Carly assists clients across a broad range of general commercial litigation matters, including construction, real estate, and product liability disputes. Her practice is informed by her active civic engagement and service, which includes her election to the Oak Park Heights City Council shortly after earning her undergraduate degree in biology from St. Thomas. She went on to earn her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
