Matthew Loven Presents on Key Considerations for Tenants' Counsel in Commercial Leases

Real Estate Partner Matthew Loven will present a virtual webinar June 13 for the Small Law Department Network of the Association of Corporate Counsel. In "NNN Leases – 10 Key Clauses for Tenants' Counsel," Matt discusses common commercial lease clauses for tenants' counsel to watch for and understand. He will explain how most NNN form leases are drafted heavily in favor of the landlord and, therefore, tenants' counsel need to know which items are negotiable and how best to insert language to protect their tenant client.

Matt represents a broad range of clients in real estate transactions, property development, and commercial leasing. He has particular skill working with local and state governments securing permits, entitlements, and plat approvals as a result of his former role as a municipal attorney. Matt leverages extensive experience advising on property acquisition financing and development; commercial and industrial leasing; Section 1031 exchanges; purchase and sale agreements; title review and due diligence; and public zoning, private covenants, and other use restrictions.
