Minneapolis Business Journal Ranks Cima NanoTech Venture-Capital Deal Handled by Doug Holod as 4th Largest in Minnesota for 2011

Doug Holod, chair of Maslon's Governance Committee and partner in the Business & Securities Group, assisted Cima NanoTech in a venture-capital deal that was recognized as the 4th largest venture-capital deal of 2011 in Minnesota by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The deal, which closed in March 2011, raised $15 million in equity financing needed to launch the client's SANTE TM Coatings product, which enables innovative applications for EMI shielding, flat panel displays, photovoltaics, touch screens, LED, and OLED solid state lighting.

Cima NanoTech, founded in 2002, is an advanced materials company that has developed proprietary nanomaterial technology for electronics fabrication including flat panel displays, touch screens, and windows for electric vehicles. These materials enable increased performance in concert with faster, cleaner and cheaper manufacturing processes, resulting in more environmentally friendly, next-generation technology.
