Overview
Gemma Jo is a financial services attorney who assists clients in corporate trust representation, commercial financing transactions, debt restructurings, loan workouts, and the pursuit of creditor remedies in bankruptcy and other insolvency proceedings. She excels at devising creative solutions to her clients' challenges.
During law school at the University of Minnesota, Gemma pursued a Business Law concentration and served in several roles, including managing and research editor, for the Minnesota Journal of Law and Inequality. She externed with the Honorable Kesha L. Tanabe of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the District of Minnesota and served as student director of the university's Bankruptcy Clinic, where she represented clients in Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings to discharge student loans, and judgment removal. Gemma also held leadership roles in the International Law Society and the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
Gemma earned her J.D. after studying political science and international relations, as well as communication, at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
