Maslon Paralegal Cathy Bergeland-Leonard Awarded by Minnesota Paralegal Association

Maslon paralegal Cathy Bergeland-Leonard received top awards at the Minnesota Paralegal Association Fall Membership Gathering on October 28, 2010. Cathy was named Minnesota Paralegal of the Year 2010. The awards honor dedication to the paralegal profession, service to the legal community, leadership, participation in Minnesota Paralegal Association work, and a positive attitude toward paralegal professional development.
Cathy was nominated in part for her invaluable leadership during a three-month class action trial against the largest private employer in the United States for wage-and-hour law violations. She is a senior paralegal with over 13 years of experience with business and employment litigation, insurance disputes and professional liability claims. Her experience has included management of electronic discovery issues, lead paralegal in litigation matters involving millions of documents and trial preparation for class action suit. Cathy is a member of the MPA Litigation Section, Women in E-Discovery, and the Minneapolis Association of Litigation Support Professionals.
