Erica Holzer and Jevon Bindman Co-Author 2023-2024 Edition of Elements of an Action (Minnesota Practice Series) for Thomson West

Litigation Group Partners Erica Holzer and Jevon Bindman have co-authored the new edition of Elements of an Action, Vol. 28, 28A, & 28B of the Minnesota Practice Series, for Thomson West. The three volumes incorporate numerous changes in the law, including recent cases applying the law to specific causes of action and defenses. The Minnesota Practice Series is a multi-volume set of titles written by practicing attorneys on aspects of Minnesota law.

Erica represents clients in complex commercial disputes primarily in the areas of tort and product liability, consumer fraud, business torts, insurance coverage, and breach of contract actions. Erica is also an experienced appellate attorney and co-chair of Maslon’s Appellate Practice Group. She has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and has authored, co-authored, and edited dozens of appellate briefs. In addition to Elements of an Action, she is co-author of several other leading treatises on Minnesota law and procedure, and authors a chapter in the Eighth Circuit Appellate Practice Manual. She also serves as reporter for three Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committees: the Rules of Civil Procedure, the Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure, and the General Rules of Practice.

Jevon is an experienced trial lawyer who regularly handles appeals in federal and Minnesota appellate courts. He has authored and edited numerous treatises on Minnesota law and procedure, including the Minnesota Courtroom Evidence Deskbook and Civil Rules Annotated. Jevon also writes and presents on issues ranging from construction and insurance coverage law to trial evidence. In 2022, he was named an associate fellow with the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
