Peter Doely Recognized as a 2023 'Up & Coming' Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer

July 26, 2023

Maslon is pleased to announce that Peter Doely, a Litigation Group partner, has been named a 2023 "Up & Coming Attorney" by Minnesota Lawyer. The recognition highlights lawyers who have distinguished themselves by their professional accomplishments, leadership in the community, and commitment to the profession in their first decade of practice.

Peter focuses on resolving construction and insurance coverage disputes. He has played an integral role in several cases involving major, high-profile construction disputes, including disputes over the cable-net roof system at the Las Vegas Raiders’ new stadium and claims related to the Florida International University bridge collapse. For his exceptional work, Peter has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2021-2023), and Super Lawyers: Rising Stars (2018-2023).

Peter is also deeply engaged with pro bono work and has demonstrated a deep commitment to leadership in the community. Since 2019, he has been an adjunct professor for the Insurance Law Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School. In 2022, he joined the board of the Children's Law Center of Minnesota, which provides free legal representation to children involved in the foster care system and advocates for vulnerable youth throughout the state. As part of that involvement, Peter provides volunteer representation for children himself. He also has devoted significant time to advancing the legal profession. In 2021, he was elected to serve as a member of the governing council of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Construction Law Section. In 2020, he was appointed to serve as a member of the Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the General Rules of Practice. He continues to serve in both roles. Peter also has presented and published regularly on topics related to his practice.
