Maslon Selected as a 2017 Community Impact Awards Finalist by Minnesota Business Magazine

January 4, 2017

Maslon is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected as a 2017 Community Impact Awards Finalist by Minnesota Business magazine. The 2017 Community Impact Awards honor businesses, social enterprise organizations, nonprofits, initiatives, and individuals making a significant impact on communities in Minnesota. Maslon is one of three finalists in the Pro Bono Maximus Award category, which is given to a for-profit company with a superlative pro bono effort or project that provides professional services to Minnesota nonprofits or other worthy causes and yielded notable results.

Maslon's long-standing commitment to pro bono work includes participation in the Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge, a commitment made by major law firms around the country in which firms must devote three percent of their billable hours or a set number of hours per attorney to the provision of pro bono legal services to low-income and disadvantaged individuals, families, and nonprofit groups. Maslon is on target to exceed the 2016 Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge. While Maslon attorneys provide pro bono service to a broad range of organizations, particular leadership and service have been provided to the following organizations this past year: Innocence Project of Minnesota, The Advocates for Human Rights, ACLU-MN, and Minnesota Wills for Heroes.
