Paul Jay is an attorney counseling clients on corporate and private equity transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters. He has represented businesses spanning a broad range of industries and has particular experience assisting with corporate restructuring and strategic acquisitions.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school, he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and was on the extramural moot court team. Paul earned his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas, where he was an Aquinas Scholar.

Paul served as an infantryman in the United States Army from 2001 to 2008, and reached the rank of staff sergeant. During his service, he was awarded the Air Assault Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge and served tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.
