Marty Fallon represents businesses and individuals in lawsuits involving commercial litigation, contract disputes, construction litigation, shareholder disputes, trust & estate litigation, unfair competition, and real estate litigation. He also works on complex commercial cases in federal and state courts and in arbitration hearings.

Prior to joining Maslon, Marty was a law clerk for the Honorable David S. Doty, U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, and worked as an associate in litigation for four years with another major Minneapolis law firm. He is a 2000 summa cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, has a master's degree in European History from the University of Minnesota, and earned his bachelor's degree, cum laude, in government from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota.


  • In re: Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis (Bankr. D. Minn. 2015). Assisted with the representation of the Committee of Parish Creditors, comprised of over 100 parishes facing hundreds of clergy abuse claims, in the Archdiocese Chapter 11 reorganization. Obtained tens of millions of dollars in insurance coverage settlements under missing insurance policies, which settlements were part of the $210 million settlement of Archdiocese and Parish clergy abuse claims, and represented the largest settlement by a diocese in bankruptcy to date in the United States.
  • Obtained multimillion-dollar judgment for regional accounting firm in noncompete dispute with former partner.
