Lateral Construction Attorney
Maslon LLP is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to work in its Construction Litigation practice group. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work well in a fast-paced environment, who has an in-depth knowledge of the law, industry experience, and strong advocacy skills. Litigation experience is required; prior first-chair experience with construction law and/or insurance coverage law is strongly preferred. The firm is willing to consider senior associates and/or partners with previous trial experience whether or not the candidate has a portable book of business.
The construction practice at Maslon is nationally recognized and known for litigating high-stakes construction disputes and is consistently ranked as a Leading Minnesota Firm for Construction in Chambers USA. We not only represent owners, developers, engineers, general contractors, suppliers, and lenders in litigation, but also advise our construction clients in all phases of a construction project, including contract negotiation and drafting, project administration, payment and close-out, defective construction issues, mechanic's lien claims, warranty work, and unique construction insurance products. Maslon also has one of the nation’s top insurance coverage practices. Our lawyers bring industry expertise gained from successfully litigating many of the major Minnesota coverage cases, as well as national cases valued in the hundreds of millions. We represent clients in cases involving construction defect, mass tort/product liability, environmental, asbestos, and premises liability claims.
What sets Maslon apart is the quality of our relationships, with our clients and with each other. We are large enough to handle the most challenging legal matters, allowing us to sustain a diverse and sophisticated practice, yet we are small enough to recognize and respect the individuality of our clients, lawyers and staff. At Maslon, we emphasize excellence in the practice of law, while maintaining values of informality, diversity and friendship. Our recruitment objective is to hire diverse, well-rounded individuals who share these values.
