Overview

Ana Chilingarishvili represents financial institutions serving as indenture trustees and in other representative capacities in connection with municipal and corporate bonds and mortgage-backed securities. Her practice includes counseling indenture trustees on issues relating to the administration of the trustee’s duties and powers, including after the occurrence of an event of default. Ana also has extensive experience representing indenture trustees in trust instruction proceedings. Prior to joining Maslon, Ana practiced in the finance and restructuring group of a large law firm.

Experience

  • Counsel to indenture trustee for $8.3 billion of bonds issued by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.
  • Indenture trustee counsel for defaulted municipal bonds in various states secured by charter schools, detention facilities, affordable housing projects, and other facilities.
  • Representation of corporate trustees for residential mortgage-backed securities and related investor-directed litigation.
