Susan Link Named Among Twin Cities 2009 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers

December 30, 2008

Susan Link, chair of Maslon's Estate Planning Practice Group, was named on the Twin Cities 2009 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers list in the January issue of Twin Cities Business. Those listed scored the highest in client satisfaction and represent less than 7 percent of the wealth managers in the Twin Cities area.

The 2009 list is based on an intensive survey process of over 34,000 high-net-worth residents in the Twin Cities area and subscribers of Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business, as well as a survey of financial service industry leaders. Recipients of the survey were asked to evaluate only wealth managers they knew based on the following nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. Each wealth manager was then reviewed for regulatory actions, civil judicial actions and customer complaints as reported by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and other regulatory agencies. Finally, they underwent review by a blue-ribbon panel comprised of individuals from the financial services industry.

Susan Link practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. She works with families to plan the disposition of their assets, both during lifetime and at death, and to accomplish the optimal estate and transfer tax planning. Link is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member of the Probate and Trust Section Council of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and serves as Program Director for the Section's Wills for Heroes Committee.
