Kathleen Crowe Eick is a member of Maslon's Business & Securities and Advertising & Marketing Groups, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, business counseling, financing transactions, securities offerings, and commercial contracts. She frequently assists clients in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including reverse mergers, acquisitions of operating business units, and sales of companies to strategic buyers.
In 2016, Kathleen completed a three-month secondment at a Fortune 500 company. While there, she worked on the sale of a business division and assisted with the reorganization and separation of various aspects of the business, including legal, human resources, energy, internet technology, and sourcing functions. Kathleen also worked on the reorganization and sale of contract, intellectual property, and real estate assets.
Kathleen's work with clients is also enhanced by her experience working as an investment banker with Credit Suisse's Private Fund Group in London. In this role, she performed financial analysis and due diligence on behalf of private equity funds seeking portfolio investments, including company valuations, market and geographic trend research and sector-specific return assessments.
Kathleen is a 2012 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center where she was a contributor to the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. She earned her bachelor's degree, with a double major in public policy studies and Arabic language and culture from Duke University. Kathleen has also studied at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar and the American University of Cairo in Egypt. Kathleen speaks several dialects of Arabic language.
