Allison Hintz advises clients in a wide variety of business dealings, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital transactions. She is experienced at drafting and negotiating principal deal documents as well as advising privately held companies—including portfolio companies of private equity funds in the technology, manufacturing, and food service industries—on an array of general counsel matters. Prior to joining Maslon, Allison practiced at a Chicago law firm.

Allison received her law degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where she also earned a Certificate in Business Law. She served as the executive editor of the DePaul Business & Commercial Law Journal and was selected as a recipient of the CALI Award of Excellence for Securities Fraud, an award given to the highest scoring student in each class at participating law schools. During law school, Allison also completed two externships in Chicago—one at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and the other at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Allison received her B.A. in economics and legal studies in business from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
